Praia do Forte is one of the most beautiful beaches of the Northeast region of Brasil. Located in the district with the same name, in the city of Mata de São João, Bahia, it is known as the Brazilian Polynesia and appeals to all who enjoy ecotourism.
Praia do Forte has more than 10 km of beaches, with sand dunes, white sand and coconut trees at seafront, that guarantee amazing and relaxing walks. You can also choose Jeep tours and horseback riding.
The sea is calm, the water is crystal clear and warm, ideal for bathing. The beach has many restaurants, inns and shops.
And the beach also houses the Garcia D ́Ávila Castle, the first Portuguese military building built in Brasil (in 1551). Another highlight is the Projeto Tamar, destined to research, manage and conserve the five species of sea turtles found in Brasil, all threatened with extinction. At the Tamar Project you can interact with the animals. It is an unforgettable experience for children.
