At the top of the preservation unit of Morro do Macaco, in the city of Bombinhas, you will find a viewing spot with panoramic view, at a height of 191 meters. From there you can see the beaches of Canto Grande, Mariscal, and Zimbros, as well as the Arvoredo Marine Biological Reserve and its islands Arvoredo, Deserta, Calhau de São Pedro, and Galés. If you stay until the end of the day, you can also see the Hercílio Luz bridge, in Florianópolis, all lit up.
Access to the viewing spot is made through an ecological trail, with entrance from the Canto Grande beach. The trail is considered of medium difficulty and takes from 30 to 40 minutes. People of all ages may walk through it without problems. On the way there are resting spots and other viewing spots, where you can take amazing photos.
Due to the topographical conditions, Morro is good to practice climbing, and the winds are also ideal for free flight and paragliding.
Take caps, suitable shoes, sunscreen, water, and food.
