Morro do Pai Inácio is part of the Chapada Diamantina National Park, open in 1985 to protect local ecosystems, which are very diverse - a mixture of primitive fields with caatinga, Atlantic forest and Cerrado vegetation.
The Morro has 1,120 m above sea level, and as you climb it, you get a panoramic view of the Chapada Diamantina, one of Bahia’s main postcards. A tip: if you get the chance, enjoy the sunset at the Morro. The view is unforgettable!
From the top of Morro do Pai Inácio, you can see the other landmarks of the Chapada Diamantina: Morro do Camelo, Morrão and Três Irmãos. To get to the top, you have to go through a trail that despite being in a bumpy terrain, which is steep in some places, offers no great difficulty.
The trail is about 300 m long and takes about 20 minutes to complete. Throughout the trail, you can observe the vegetation and some animals (if you're lucky), blending in with the landscape.
