Attendance is higher during the day, but on Thursday nights the delicious caranguejadas happen, when several tents open their doors offering music, cold beverages and lots, lots of crab!
In Porto das Dunas beach, in Aquiraz, you have the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, with white sands and majestic dunes, in addition to being able to enjoy the famous Beach Park. At the other side is Caucaia, route to the Icaraí and Cumbuco beaches.
The wind conditions of the entire coastline are ideal for the practice of water sports such as sailing and kitesurfing. And the topography favors adventure sports, such as tracking and rallying.
Visit the Central Market as well, which has numerous stores offering crafts and restaurants with foods typical to the Northeast.
Pinto Martins International Airport receives flights from all Brazilian capitals and also from Frankfurt, Bogota, Milan, Lisbon, Buenos Aires, Praia (Cape Verde), and Miami.
If you are in Brazil, Fortaleza is also accessible through the Engenheiro João Thomé Bus Station, which is a few kilometers away from the airport.
The city has bus lines that facilitate the access to most of the local tourist attractions.
Taking a walk on the beautiful seashore is an opportunity not to be missed. It has 6 km in total that are filled with beach huts and crafts. The late afternoons are delightful.
