The largest rappel in Brazil on a suspended platform is in Bonito. It is located at the Boca da Onça waterfall, which is 156 meters high. The activity is carried out without the risk of wear and tear on natural structures, which helps to preserve the region.

Buraco das Araras, 100 meters deep, 160 meters in diameter and 500 meters in circumference, is the largest sinkhole in South America.

Ecotourism with environmental responsibility.

A paradise for those who practice adventure and ecotourism activities, Bonito brings together a diversity of natural attractions such as rivers with crystal clear waters, rich wildlife, caves, sinkholes, waterfalls, and other elements that form lush and unique settings.

Dive into this adventure.

Among the most popular tours are floating on rivers, such as Prata and Sucuri, with some of the clearest waters on the planet, full of colorful fish and lush vegetation. Diving in Lagoa Misteriosa is another of the most popular activities, in which tourists dive into the transparent waters of one of the largest flooded caves in Brazil – more than 220 meters deep!

Trails, boat and tubing trips, rappelling, tree climbing, diving, cycling, among other activities, transform Bonito into a natural paradise for outdoor activities.

Biodiversity observation.

Wildlife observation is also an experience by itself, with the possibility of contemplating several species of birds, guará wolves (a endemic species to Brazil) and armadillos, among other native species in their natural habitats.

At Buraco das Araras, 50 km from Bonito, it is possible to see flocks of beautiful scarlet macaws in the largest sinkhole in South America.

Flavors of the rivers.

Take the opportunity to taste typical local cuisine where fish are the big stars. The pacu, the pintado and dourado, served grilled, fried or stewed, accompanied by the traditional banana farofa are dishes of “bonitense” cuisine.
