The Biggest Harvest Festival in Southern Brazil!

With more than 90 years of history, the National Grape Festival is the defining symbol of Caxias do Sul’s culture. Held every two years in a large events park, the celebration brings together grand parades, concerts and shows, exhibitions, outstanding cuisine, and the traditional grape harvest.

Recognized as Brazil’s 5th-largest community festival—and the largest in Rio Grande do Sul—the event draws huge crowds. It’s a major celebration of the bounty of the harvest and the cultural heritage left by Italian immigrants, themes that shaped the identity of the Serra Gaúcha.

More than an event, the Grape Festival is a meeting of generations and an immersion in authentic experiences that linger in your memory.

A Landmark of Faith and Tradition

In the heart of the city, across from Dante Alighieri Square, stands the Diocesan Cathedral. As a symbol of local faith and religiosity, it is more than an architectural monument: it is a place of gathering, devotion, and history. Its architecture—classic lines and colorful stained glass—preserves the cultural heritage of Italian immigrants and stands as one of the most beautiful sights in the Serra Gaúcha.
