Famous for its iconic cliffs, as well as being considered an ecological sanctuary, Pipa has a particular charm due to its hospitality, gastronomy and the Potiguares (as people born in Rio Grande do Norte are known).

Fun facts

Pipa Beach, in fact, is made up of 11 beaches, each one more exuberant than the other.

Praia do Madeiro, one of Pipa's beaches, was once considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world chosen by TripAdvisor users.

Baía dos Golfinhos was also considered one of the 10 most beautiful beaches on the planet by Traveller's Choice 2022.

The most beautiful beaches await you.

Praia de Pipa is not a single beach, as the name suggests, but rather the entrance to a group of beautiful beaches spread across the coast of Rio Grande do Norte. Praia do Amor, with the roughest sea, is a traditional surfing beach in the village. It is possible to reach this incredible beach in two ways: at high tide, the path is via the stairs carved into the cliff, and at low tide, visitors can reach it by walking along the sand.

Praia do Centro stands out for the formation of beautiful natural pools at low tide. It is from there that speedboat trips depart to Baía dos Golfinhos, a magical place, where dolphins welcome visitors with jumps and acrobatics. The Bay is also a suitable place for hiking and sports such as racquetball, surfing, and kayaking.

Praia do Madeiro, with cliffs covered in the green of the native forest, almost untouched, presents a look that looks more like a movie set. The place is perfect for practicing water sports such as stand up paddle boarding.

Diverse and preserved nature.

Pipa is a place of great natural diversity. Environmentally rich, the region encompasses part of the remaining Atlantic Forest, mangroves, lagoons, dunes, and paradisiacal beaches. The region is known for being a setting for nesting and birth of sea turtles. A true spectacle of life, for those who have the chance to witness it. Furthermore, tourists can observe many dolphins. The animals are common in Pipa and tend to appear in different areas, especially in Baía dos Golfinhos. The ideal way to see them is to take a boat trip to Guaraíras Lagoon where you can combine this trip with other activities.

The natural beauty also invites you to various tours and activities. The Ecological Sanctuary, a park that houses countless species of Brazilian fauna and flora, is one of the mandatory tours. This natural park has 3 sectors, and 16 trails open to the public, each with different degrees of difficulty and attractions. Just choose. Take advantage of the trails to watch the sunset or dolphins at sea.

Chapadão, another of the best-known tours, is a beautiful reddish cliff, an ideal place to enjoy the sunrise or sunset.

Activities for all tastes.

There will be no shortage of outdoor and sea activities such as surfing, kitesurfing, stand-up paddleboarding and wakeboarding that are practiced there, as the region’s winds facilitate this type of sporting practice. Don’t forget to include a jeep, quad bike and buggies ride in your itinerary. These tours are Pipa’s trademark. Jeeps make it possible to tour the plateaus and dirt roads. These are generally full-day trips covering several beaches, with natural pools and river baths. On the way, you can also have lunch at a shrimp farm.

There are also options for ziplining, tree climbing, trekking, biking, paragliding, speedboats and hang gliding. Everything to enjoy this beautiful destination in the Brazilian Northeast.

In the late afternoon, Avenida Baía dos Golfinhos is where the action takes place, with bars, restaurants, and shops. This avenue is considered the “heart” of that destination.

While you’re in Pipa, include the paradisiacal Baía Formosa and Praia do Sagi in your schedule, on the border with the state of Paraíba, which can be an unforgettable experience. This is a buggy tour, which is longer and usually lasts all day.

The hospitality of the Village.

Pipa’s cosmopolitan air is due to its diverse hotel offer with luxury hotels and charming inns. Its gastronomy, with local and international references, is an international highlight. World-renowned restaurants and chefs use fresh raw materials coming directly from the coast, producing dishes that value local ingredients, but also from different origins. Bars and nightclubs complement a genuine quality experience.

Discover the village that mixes beautiful beaches, culture, and gastronomy in unique hospitality.
