Witness the Magic of Sunrise at Iguazu Falls

Foz do Iguaçu

Arriving at Iguazu Falls early to see the sun illuminate the majestic waterfalls will be one of the most magical moments of your life

With stunning natural beauty, Iguazu Falls has been designated a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and is considered one of the New 7 Natural Wonders of the World. And that’s not all! Lonely Planet, one of the largest travel guide publishers in the world, has named the Falls one of the top 10 must-see places in the world. Experiencing its 275 majestic waterfalls is an experience that transcends conventional beauty and you will never forget!

An unforgettable dawn!

Iguazu Falls has the power to leave anyone speechless. And when the sun rises over these imposing waterfalls, the experience transforms into a truly magical spectacle. Arriving at Iguazu National Park early to see the sunrise will definitely be unforgettable. Not to mention, the Park will be closed to the public, so you will have the walkways and views practically all to yourself.

The journey to witness the sunrise at the Falls begins between 5:30 and 6:00 in the morning. Arrive as early as you can, so you can enjoy the first rays of the sun beautifying the waterfalls.

The meeting point is at the Visitor Center of Iguazu National Park. There, you will take the Park’s bus that will take you to the beginning of the Cataratas Trail. Then begins the walk towards Devil’s Throat, one of the most amazing waterfalls in the Park. The entire route is well-structured, with well-marked and signposted trails and sturdy walkways over the waters.

From the park entrance, you will be immersed in the local fauna and flora. You will see some monkeys and other animals walking among tourists, macaws and toucans flying through the trees, and much more. The nature of the place is simply magnificent!

Devil’s Throat

When you reach Devil’s Throat, the most anticipated point for those visiting the Falls, take as much time as you need to contemplate such beauty. Devil’s Throat is the largest drop of the waterfall set of Iguazu Falls, over 80 meters high and 150 meters wide.

Shaped like a U, it sits right on the border between Brazil and Argentina. The volume of water and the speed of the fall certainly provide one of the most beautiful spectacles of nature, enchanting all tourists.

The place will be practically empty, so you don’t need to worry about sharing the space with a crowd of people. And don’t forget to capture everything! This is the moment to take incredible photos and make some videos to forever remember this moment!
