Atalaia Waterfront, one of Aracaju’s icons
Atalaia Beach
Stretching for about 8 km, this is one of the main beaches in Aracaju. The place has good infrastructure and is ideal for visitors traveling with children. In addition to kiosks and a bike path, there are sports courts and a playground on the waterfront. A mandatory stop when visiting Atalaia is the amazing Tamar Project!
Aruana Beach
Close to Atalaia, Aruana Beach and its warm blue waters are a great option for visitors who prefer peace and quiet. Moreover, the local kiosks are renowned for serving delicious typical dishes.
Refúgio Beach
Refúgio Beach is the perfect option for those looking for a quiet place to enjoy the sea, as it receives few visitors especially during the week. In general, the water is warm and very calm. But that also attracts jellyfish, so be a little more careful when you get in the water or go for a stroll on the sand.
Náufragos Beach
Náufragos (Castaway Beach) is highly recommended by everyone who knows it. Even though it is a little distant from the region in the city with the main hotels, a visit to this paradise beach is totally worth it.
Mosqueiro Beach
One of the most popular beaches in Aracaju, Mosqueiro beach is the last one on the south side, which means that it is the farthest from the central area of the state capital. There are plenty of activities on the beach, including boat and catamaran rides to incredible places such as Ilha dos Namorados (Valentines Island) and Crôa do Goré (a sandbank that forms an island during low tide). In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to marvel at the most beautiful sunset in the city.
Saco Beach
Located about 70 km from Aracaju, Saco Beach has lots of charming attractions. Visitors will be able to enjoy the sea, a river, natural pools, and amazing local cuisine.
You can be certain of one thing. Those who visit Aracaju will have unique and unforgettable experiences. Let yourself fall in love with the city and visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast of Brazil.
